Oil? On canvas? What sorcery is this? I thought for sure this would be a watercolor. I very much like the use of complementary colors in this it really makes for a great impact. When I look at this I see sadness but there is an acceptance to the expression, as if they have accepted whatever hardships they are going through and are preparing to move on. I think your anatomy is spot on here. I enjoy how minimal the painting is as well, and you made great use of the space, there's enough negative space to rest the eye without drowning the subject in a sea of white. Over all you rock, keep up the great work

wow, very nice style ! very well done
You have an amazing talent. He is beautiful. You really know how to show the beauty of his lips. They have a feminine quality to them yet it fits with his face. The coloring technique is insanely amazing. I too thought it was water color. Your other featured art below could get me writing for a decade. I am amazed. <3
I think the essence of emotion is the hardest thing to capture in painting without distorting body or facial proportions. You have a style that is simple yet so alive. I do like your work very much.
Thank you so much for your compliments; you have no idea how much that all meant to me! Many thanks
as a fellow artist, I do have sort of idea what compliments mean. You deserve to be acknowledged for the wonderful work you do and sharing it with us is even more a reason to say how much we enjoy your work.
Loving this one!
Lovely work, Chiara, I love your choice of color for this one and the dream-like feel.
